"Fear and courage go hand in hand.
Wu Wei's comment:
When there is nothing to fear, courage is unnecessary. Courage is what we call upon to face what we fear. If we permit fear to run though us without awakening our courage, our fear grows, and we are blocked from taking action, paralyzed. Fear is not within the situation or object we fear, but exists solely within us, within our imaginations – it is our expectations of a bad outcome. What we fear dies or fades away after we have faced what we feared. Wonderfully, the Universe has provided each of us with enough courage to face even our darkest fear. It is a sad moment indeed when we succumb to our fear without having called upon our courage, for when we call upon it, we become as brave as the Chinese temple dogs of ancient China who were selected for their extraordinary bravery to protect the temples."
This insert in the Sunday service bulliten let me know I was in the right place. I had not been to church for ... I don't even know. Since I was a teenager and I grew tired of the judgmental hypocrisy infesting the church I formerly attended. In fact, this place I visited Sunday doesn't call itself a church; it is called "The Oneness Center, Center for Spiritual

Awakening."
I do not know whether it is affiliated with any religion. The person giving the talk (she didn't sound preachy, so I don't call her a preacher, and her words weren't sermony) quoted texts from Christianity, Hinduism and Islam. The wise words of diverse religions were given proper respect. The talk was about manifesting your reality through your thoughts. A reminder to stay positive and act in faith that all I desire is, in truth, happening.
Or, as I like to say: Believe it, receive it!
So it is!
