In Hawaii this month for more training in spiritual healing, I had many amazing experiences.
First, I scrambled around some sea-scrubbed rocks for the first time barefoot and realized why climbers wear shoes. Of course for the sticky rubber, but also, dayum, those rocks are sharp!
Then two homegirls and I gave thanks after a beautiful day at the beach, holding hands in knee-deep water, praying. As I was thanking the semi-warm Hawaiian ocean for its healing my phobia of water, I saw something sweet that faeries like me adore: flowers. Yes, flowers in the ocean.
I ran into the water, but the wave sucked my present under. I snatched beneath the wave and pulled out a beautiful lei. My friends and I were amazed that the ocean had given me such a gift. Forget about wondering how it got there. It was for me. Out of all the places in the universe, it ended up in my little hands.
