Totally awesome climber: Bruce

Bruce fears nothing but kryptonite. Saved my life one night after I fell into a chimney at Tum Tum Washington. He is an excellent father. Raised two wonderful kids in Alaska and is now raising two more in New Mexico. Focuses on them completely. Natural-born teacher. Excellent guitar player. Nickname is Tiny Elvis. Climbing he is the epitome of REST. Can rest any where in any position. His laugh is contagious. Musical tastes are varied. From the classical to the uberwierd. His knowledge is vast, can tell a story like no other. He is my best friend.
Love,
Buggs

Message for my brother ...
Bruce – Musical, magical, pillar of strength, artist, sculptor, wall crawler, dreamer, always inspirational!  I love you dearly, little brother!
– Debbie aka crazy ol' Deb, the Debster.  (Don't forget the wine glass webbing.)

I met Bruce on one of my first climbing trips.  I encountered two high school students climbing a rotten aid route in the dark at Smith Rocks in Oregon.  So began a lifetime bond.  Bruce has inspired me and everyone he climbs with to enjoy the experience, push the limits, and CLIMB! After years of climbing together, he left for the Air Force and became a survival instructor. With what we shared, he must have been the best they ever had.  I’ve had the good luck to reconnect after many years only to find the same spark, the same kid in the dark, wanting to explore and bring you along with him.

I hardly know Bruce. I only know of his generosity toward me from the get-go. I asked him to hook up this site with art from his sister, Deb. He immediately procured the art and supported my site with his wit and wisdom in my forum. Very touching, Bruce. I hope one day we can climb together. I know you have a lot to teach me, and Buggs says you’re a natural teacher. No doubt. Thanks for everything!
