More climbing, Dammit

What are you climbing lately, SarahJane?
We(myself & a couple other monkeys) are assuming our gym rat postures.....It can be fun, & it really does help to
build core strength. Core is key. I never led 5.10 until I climbed in Cade's garage gym. I'm a lazy monkey.
Got whipped into line(&into shape, too).........................Grins!

Gym climbing ain't all that bad. In the past few weeks we've done leads, (my first whipper, 8ft.), set belay stations, rope management, hanging belays, setting pro in the cracks (with no rope), all while keeping good form and learning to stay efficient and well balanced while placing gear and climbing with gear. Next is climbing with a small pack. I have noticed positive gains in my climbing technique. I'm also not so afraid of falls anymore too!

WooHoo!
Hey, just doin' my part to keep you "movin' up"!
The gym we've been frequenting is pretty fun, it's almost exclusively a bouldering gym, which means more time actually climbing around, I'm not a fan of waitin'. There are problems marked out, but we make up our own, too, plus there's free weights & such, too. Not too bad, since it's been pretty soggy lately. Here's a link, if ya feel like scopin' their website. http://www.frontboise.com/

See ya in the funny pages!

I haven't climbed in a climbing gym in maybe 10 years......and never did climb in gyms too much;....sort of wish I did...I'd be a stronger, safer, and better climber because of it....and meet cool people .....but there aren't any gyms close by, and I'm not very strong;....the few times I have climbed in gyms;...after only 2 or 3 climbs.....I'm already pooped out.......I am from the wrong place and time.....wish they had climbing gyms around when I was in college.....we went bouldering all the time....until the weekend came along.......
3 cheers for the climbing gyms...and Sarah;...you are on the right path;.....climb in-doors and out......cold weather or hot......rain or shine......
